Best Concrete Driveway Sealer
When it comes to sealing a concrete driveway there are a few different products than can be used depending on what your need is for sealing, and what you want the concrete driveway to look like after being sealed.
The first type of a product is a penetrating water repellent sealer. In this category, a high solids (40%) solvent based Silane-Siloxane will provide years of protection against spalling caused by water absorption, freeze thaw damage, mold and mildew, and more. Silane-Siloxane sealers will not change the look or color of the concrete and will cause water and other liquids to bead off the surface.
Product Highlight: Armor SX5000. The Armor SX5000 is a 40% solids DOT approved solvent based silane-siloxane water repellent. Commonly used to seal roadways and bridge decks, the Armor SX5000 will keep your concrete driveway protected for years to come. View Sealer Video.
The second type of product to use is an acrylic sealer/coating. Acrylic sealers will penetrate into the concrete and bond to the surface pores. Acrylics will leave behind a film or coating on the surface to add a matte, satin or high gloss finish. These can be applied in clear or in a color option.
Product Highlight: Foundation Armor is a leading manufacturer of concrete coatings, for interior and exterior concrete. They are most famous for their AR350, AR500 and AX25 as featured below.
