Wet Look Driveway Sealer
Wet look sealers for sealing concrete and paver driveways with a wet look finish.
In order to achieve a wet look finish, you want to use an acrylic concrete sealer. The best acrylic sealer for your driveway will depend on what your interpretation of a wet look is.
Make Driveway Look Wet: If you like what your driveway looks like when wet then you want a solvent based acrylic sealer. Solvent based acrylic sealers will darken the surface of the concrete to make it look wet. Solvent based acrylic sealers will also leave behind a low to high gloss finish.
- Armor AR350: Solvent based wet look driveway sealer with a low gloss finish.
- Armor AR500: Solvent based wet look driveway sealer with a high gloss finish.
No Color Change, Want Gloss: If you don’t want the color of your concrete driveway to darken, but you want a low to high gloss finish, then you want a water based acrylic sealer. Water based acrylic sealers will provide a gloss finish without darkening the surface.
- Armor WB15: Water based driveway sealer with a low gloss finish.
- Armor WB25: Water based driveway sealer with a high gloss finish.
How to Apply a Wet Look Sealer
Wet look sealers are very easy to apply and can be done in a few simple steps:
- Make sure the concrete is clean. Pressure washing is the most common way to clean a driveway.
- Let the driveway dry for at least 24-36 hours before sealing.
- Apply the sealer in the late afternoon or early evening so that no dew is present, and so the concrete has had a chance to cool from exposure to the sun.
- Apply two coats and space the coats out in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
